Special K Cracker Chips (Low Calorie Chips)

I am usually a more sweet than salty snacker but something about a low calorie diet makes me crave chips. Special K Cracker Chips are my go to snack. They are just the right amount of tasting slightly fatty without being greasy. Lot’s of flavour and a decent quantity for 80 calories. Plus, unlike many chips, I actually find I get more per serving than the box says, and that always makes me happier. They do have lactose in them. It doesn’t make a huge difference to me, but something to note for those who are lactose intolerant.

Special K Cracker Chips Review

If you are used to regular chips, you may find Special K Cracker Chips taste a little dry. They don’t have that coating of grease that normal bags of chips do. They have plenty of flavour packed into the round chips and a satisfying crunch though. While they are called cracker chips, they are made primarily with potato starch and taste more like a chip than a cracker. I would honestly eat these even if not watching my calories (and have while off dieting).

They can be a little expensive. Most stores sell them for $3-$3.79 for a 113g box and some flavours are harder than others to find. For example, my local Giant Tiger only carries the Sour Cream and Onion while Walmart carries three flavours but not my fave Salt & Vinegar variety. They do go on sale for around $2 so I just stock up then to have them until the next sale.
