I am a huge fan of the Fibre 1 Brownies so was excited to try the Fibre 1 Delights Chocolate Chip Cookie. The first thing to know about these is that they are not cookies. They are more like cake bars. Fibre 1 Chocolate Chip Cookie squares are very sweet. They have that more obvious sweetener taste to them compared to the brownies. You still get extra fibre in your diet by using Fibre 1 Delights as a snack and without the dry taste of many fibre bars.

Like most of the Fibre 1 snacks, you get 5g or 20% of the daily recommended fibre. Fibre 1 Delights do not suffer from the “eating sawdust” complaint of many fibre snacks. They may be overly sweet, but they are a treat type snack. While not the cookie promised, as a chocolate chip cake square, they are fairly decent in nutrition. Sure, they are not the healthiest snack, but as close to giving into that chocolate craving as possible for under 100 calories.
Similar to the brownies, Fibre 1 Chocolate Chip Cookie Delights are much better warmed than room temperature. Warm for about 10 seconds in the microwave until the chocolate topping starts to melt. Much longer than that and they burn. For a chocolate fix, they do have quite a lot of chocolate chips for a low calorie snack. Plus the drizzle helps to satisfy a sweet tooth but the brownies remain my favourite.
Fibre 1 Delights are also available in Lemon and Cinnamon Bun. While I am not a fan of cinnamon treats so wouldn’t waste precious calories trying them, I will probably grab a pack of the lemon bars to try at some point. I am not sure how well they will warm compared to chocolate though.
Fibre 1 Delights are regularly priced below $3 at Walmart and other stores. Although not unusual to see them for $4 it is not hard to find them for less. They come in a pack of 5 bars, each individually wrapped for freshness and portion control. Helps to eat only one when the box isn’t tempting you with more.
Do you like the Chocolate Chip Cookie Fibre 1 bars? How do you eat them? Hot, cold or just out of the box? With ice cream? I need recommendations.
